4 month old wireless HB098 keyboard stopped working suddenly

This question relates to connecting an Arteck wireless/Bluetooth keyboard HB098 BUY NOW to an Apple iPad Pro 12.9 BUY NOW

Pretty much exactly what my subject says - I was using my keyboard just fine yesterday evening and tried to use it this morning but it wouldn't turn on (the LED light was completely dead) so I switched over batteries thinking that was the problem, but it still won't turn on after replacing it with new, never been used batteries. I bought this keyboard from Amazon so would my best bet be to get onto them for a replacement?

I've also seen a suggestion to put a little ball of tinfoil in the battery compartment, has anyone had success with that?

So at no point does it light up or so any sign of life ?
