Arteck Keyboard 3 : keyboard is typing the wrong keys

I am typing on my virtual iPad keyboard right now. On the Arteck, when I try to type a ( instead I get =. The same thing with all other special characters. I try to type one character, I get a complely different one.

Are you sure your model is made for your country? Did you purchase it abroad or maybe get a cheaper import ?

I found that holding down Control and the Space Bar brought up a menu of languages. I tapped the space bar.a couple of times to highlight English and that seems to have solved it for me
