My headphones work fine when they're plugged in, or charging. They play audio and can pair/connect via Bluetooth. As soon as I remove the power cord, though, the whole thing goes dead, and won't turn back on. When I plug it in, the light is green, so I know it's charged. I've tried turning it off and on, using an aux cord, (works, but stops working when I switch back to wireless,) and charging it. I'm not sure if I should just get a replacement, or try to fix it.

We've not had others with Hesh 3's reporting this but its always possible that the internal battery or related circuitry has a problem and its confused and basically unable to hold a charge, reporting it has a charge but in reality without. Do make sure you try charging from another source charger/cables if you can. Otherwise I would suggest clarifying if within warranty and getting exchanged if it is.

Did you find a solution to this? I have the same issue. Feels like I've tried everything, but none is working.

I am having the same problem as well!!

This is likely a hardware issue. I would recommend contacting SkullCandy to get their confirmed diagnosis. If you can do that and then share the results of that conversation here that would be most useful for others.

OK i went to skull candy and "chatted" here's what they suggested
1. attempt to reset them:
First power off the headset. Then hold the multifunction button (middle button) and volume down buttons for eight seconds. Watch for the red and blue lights to alternate 3 times
2. now re pair to your device device and see if it will stay connected or powered on
3. if no luck, they recommend that they replace your headphones through their warranty program.
Go to
Submit a claim
When you are done with that, you will get an email letting you know the claim was submitted and where to send your headphones to so they can send you a new pair. That is all you have to do!
so i don't need an extended warranty?
No ma'am!
You dont even need a receipt

I didn't use my headphones for the past 4 to 5 months(exams). it use to work perfectly before and the battery life was amazing. But when I tried charging them yesterday the charging indicator was showing and is not showing now as well. they do charge up. I charges it for like 4 hours and then tried using it. but the battery life was only about 7 hours. Is that normal. I bought them in 2018 mid august. But only started using them from the beginning of 2019. So they weren't used up that much. Thank you if you have an explanation.

How much battery life do you think you used to get out of them? 7 constant hours doesn't sound so bad to me.

Hello. Sorry again. From today my headphones are over heating even when I'm not using or charging them. I don't know what is wrong. What best possible course of action i can take? I can't afford to buy a new headphone.

John (Admin) responded : 4:59pm, 15th December 2019 (2 years ago)
Hi Alex, so it was working again but now when this overheating is occurring, they are or aren't working ?

What is the weather like where you are ? If they are really hot, alarmingly so at the end of the day I would not use them as that could be a safety issue.

I've had my Hesh 3 Bluetooth headphones for a couple of months now but recently it has stopped connecting to my iPhone and within the last week no matter what button I press for how long it will not turn on its passed its quarenty so I cant return it. I know its fully charged as when I plug it in it shows a green light and it wont even work whilst charging. Ive tried different plugs Ive tried to call skull candy (but cut me off straight away) I dont know what to do.
