I'm a truck driver. As I travel through certain areas on my route the conversation becomes very choppy to the point of no being able to carry on the conversation. If I hang up and restart my phone and call the party back all is good for a few miles
then it happens again. The phone has good tower signal in these areas. All of the problem areas are on major interstate highways in rural areas.

It may be that there is less bandwidth available via the cell towers in these areas and that you have a solid connection but it's just a slower internet connection via the cell tower. Ideally if you can when it next happens pull over and see if a reboot still helps. Let us know if you are able to troubleshoot anyhow.

I was on the route where I have the issues last Wednesday and my bluetooth connection was perfect the whole time. On Friday I was back in same area at the same time of day and it was bad. If I shut off the bluetooth on my phone and then turned it back on the connection was good for a few miles and the it would go bad again. I did that six or seven times in one hour. Then I was out of that area and it worked fine. The area is on I90 between Belvedere, IL and Madison, Wi.

Hi Randy. Thanks for your detailed research. Well it seems that in this case it is indeed very likely interference nearby in which case there is likely very little to be done about it. Still good to know it's only happening in a certain place and is a very localised problem.
