both earbuds will not pair at the same time, only one or the other

Tzumi Soundmates have worked well but upon last use they will not BOTH pair. They are fully charged and both power on, but only one will pair at a time. Tzumi mates is listed twice on my bluetooth selection screen. Each can be chosen separately but each functions for only one ear bud ( left or right ). I have removed them and tried reconnecting but no change

This sounds like they have not been paired together properly first. It's vital that this is done before you try to connect to your phone. Check the Troubleshooting Tips box at the top of this page for a few links to other posts where the pairing process is detailed.
