Homewerks Bluetooth bath fan : brand new install, fan will not pair with switch

I just installed this fan brand new in the box. It will not pair from the switch to the fan. The functions only work if I shut the fan off for 1 second and turn back on, and cycle through the settings. No matter how many times I've tried pairing, it keeps going back to the white light.

Have you tried pairing it to multiple devices? It's the same ?

Pairing it to multiple devices will make the switch pair and work properly?

Same problem. It refused to pair with switch. Procedure is click on off 5 times, blue light flashes. Now press light button on switch. Blue light stops flashing and pairing is complete. But it does not work blue light keeps flashing for a few seconds then it times out and goes back to white

so... 10pm, I'm thinking about this over and over, get up, shut off breaker, re open switch panel and unhook switch from black in, red out, and white neutral. only left ground connected. Let sit for five minutes, reconnected, and powered back up. Let sit for five minutes again before turning it on, then went through Bluetooth directions for umpteenth time. This time thought, it's seemed to work. Unimpressed even still. the delay between pressing the night light function and seeing that pretty blue light is not tolerable. Does not perform well when buttons are pressed in quick succession. calling their technical support in morning, but will likely return too Home Depot promptly.

Thank you so much Corey. I too have been reacking my brains. I have sent their tech support an email also (they won't talk to me on the phone blaming Covid which seems a bit thin to excuse not answering the phone). Mine actually came with two switches (tried them both). I will try your "turn off the breaker" idea to let the switch sit with no power to it for a while, worth a shot. I really really don't want to take it back I paid some dude $150 to install it for me. :-(

SOLVED There is a gray wire connecting the round light-and-speaker assembly (as well as two black wires). Unplugged this gray wire, waited five minutes and replugged. It came apart a little too easily, I suspect it had not been firmly seated to begin with. Anyway paired immediately after that and I think the switches function snappily. No issue at all now. Yay!
