Can't get earbuds to work

So I just bought them and when I got home I plugged them up to charge and they were plugged in for close to an hour, I wanted to make sure that they were charged. And I tried to follow the manual on how to turn them on and connect them but no matter what I do they won't turn on. I left them plugged in and didn't disturb them and I know for a fact it would work because it was the cord that came with them. I've held the button for two seconds like it was shown and nothing. There's no light to indicate anything and I've checked my bluetooth devices to see and it won't show up on the list at all.
