Does the echo have other pairings for similar devices? If so delete. Was anything else paired to the echo recently? If so make sure they are turned off when pairing the Cowen E7. If no joy still unplug the echo and start it again.

Thank you for your response. I was finally told by the manufacturer that the Corwin E7 is not compatible with Echo Dot or any Amazon products. I suggested to Corwin as well as Amazon that they included that information in their product description to prevent this hassle with other buyers.

This is not true. My Cowin E7 have repeatedly successfully paired with my Echo and Echo Dot devices; however, when I reset my Echo for other reasons, it cannot' find the E7's. It will eventually work...just keep trying.
