I bought a new JBL reflect contour 2 and I am trying to pair with this device using my Pixel 3 phone. I tried changing the AVRCP version. But there is no luck. Can anyone please guide me to pair with this device.

Just to be sure, you've rebooted your pixel? What lights does the Reflect Contour 2 show when you try to pair it ?

I have rebooted my pixel. Reset the cache. Again tried. But there was no luck. Tried changing configuration to show devices only with mac addresses. I tried this with one plus 7 and this device didn't come up in the device list. Same as mine, oneplus has Bluetooth 5.0 version. I have a JBL charge 3 and due to the sound quality, I bought this JBL headphones.

Have you tried resetting 'network settings' within Android ?

Supun responded : 1:49am, 9th January 2020 (10 months ago)
Yes. Did that. Also downgraded the Android version to check if that helps. Bit there was no luck

I have the same problem with my Google pixel 2XL
Have tried with 2 of my friend's phones (both google Pixel 2s) and it doesn't show up for them either. I think it might be a problem with the software or the linkage with the earphones themselves.

I have the same issue here - unable to connect new JBL Reflect Contour 2 bluetooth headphones to both Pixel 2XL and Pixel 3.

Device is not listed as found under devices.

Device connects without a problem to iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S5

I am having the same issue. Has anyone figured this out? what is the reason? I spoke with JBL customer service and Google. No one knows anything.

I have a google pixel 3, I had a jbl reflect contour that connected just fine that died recently (old one still connects and shows lights bit won't play music) soi bought the same one again used (the box wasn't opened so new condition) but the new one won't show up in the Bluetooth discovery list no matter what I do. I'm reset both devices, rest set phone bluetooth, network settings, tried different addresses, but nothing I do work. Any suggestions?

HI Sara...not sure what is wrong. its not a problem with the headset because it does work tested it out with a iphone.

I contacted both JBL and Google and it seemed like there needs to be some software fix on their side. Ended up just taking the headphones back for refund which I'd recommend you do too

This is what JBL said to me:
Thank you for contacting JBL Support. We got disconnected on chat and we would like to extend the help. Upon checking further, there is a known compatibility issue that was confirmed by our software team between the Google Pixel software and the Reflect Mini and Reflect Countour. Unfortunately, there has been no updates or resolution on getting the Reflect Software resolved.

That makes me incredibly sad, the contours are the only headphones that I've found that actually stay on. Thank you for the advice.
