I have a hk onyx 4 and when i first got the device i was able to connect mine and my wife's phone to the system. Months ago neither of our phones have been able to connect and produce sound

Hi Larry, can you give a little more info about exactly what you do to pair, what lights/signals the speaker gives/doesn't give as you go through the process of pairing ?

Chris, when paired the phone and Bluetooth icons on the Onyx 4 system glow white and on my phone (galaxy s10) the Bluetooth connection shows "connected for Audio and Calling". If I change the volume on the Onyx you can see the change happen on the phone. Still, no sound :-(

This is with all apps on your phone capable of producing audio that could stream?

Are the phones connected regularly to other bluetooth speakers or similar audio recieving devices?

It may still be worth clearing out old pairings to other devices in case they are causing some confusion.

Chris, all apps capable of streaming sound have no issue with connecting to my stereo (Onkyo TX NR595) and our Sonos device via Bluetooth.

I unpaired all devices as you suggested and have the same result: it connects via Bluetooth but no sound.

We've had a lot of others reporting similar issues. For many holding down the power button for around 15 seconds reset the speaker and resolved the issue.
Does that work?

If not, can you clarify, do you have other electrical items sitting very closely to the Onyx? If so try to turn them all off / move them away before undertaking another attempted pairing.

Thank you for your input. I cleared all paired devices from my phone again and repaied with the receiver. Now things seem to work fine.
