Has anyone figured out the flashing blue power button problem?

This question relates to connecting a JBL Charge 3 BUY NOW to an Apple iPad 3 BUY NOW

We have some extra troubleshooting tips for Apple iPad 3 devices - click to view
The circle with vertical line (power button) initially turns white, then flashing blue for about 5 minutes, before reverting to solid white. When attempting to pair, receive connection unsuccessful, make sure JBL3 is turned on & within range error message. Started malfunctioning yeaterday,after about a year of successfully pairing with iPad, iPhone. No recent water or shock damage. Thank you for any possible troubleshooting tips.

Have you tried holding down volume up and play/pause at the same time to reset it ?
