Skullcandy Method wireless; how do I fix my earbuds that won't make sound

When I connect it to my phone it doesn't make any sound (I tried the volume reset thing)

Is it definitely actively connected ? Check in bluetooth settings for the status. I say this as sometimes if the device was paired to another phone before, it could become unpaired and reset back to the previous one.

Also when you use the volume control on the phone, is it showing an icon for the phone speaker or the bluetooth? If it's not with a bluetooth icon that would suggest the phone clearly doesn't think it has any bluetooth audio device available to redirect sound to.
