Both items pair. Goes through entire process including asking for passcodes. Phone detects the car radio and shows as being paired. Radio kicks out and reverts back to the radio. After this phone properties shows contacts sharing is active but call audio is grayed out. Have checked connections on mulf2 plus optical cables have red light visible. Have disconnected items with no difference. Have also tried 5 different phones all with the same result.

What models are the phones you've tried ? Just to check, has it ever worked with any device previously ?

Have tried a Samsung A3, Huawei P9, iPhone8, my P20 lite and an iPhone 7 (I think)

And to clarify, it's never worked with any paired device at any point?

Not since I've been trying no. There was a phone listed when I bought the car which I deleted. I didn't check to see what phone it was

Just doing more research into this, only now realise that this isn't actually a Bluetooth device and isn't 'paired' to use Bluetooth terminology at all but instead is connected via a USB adapter cable. As the name of the site suggests, we aim to assist people with Bluetooth problems so can't assist I'm afraid.

Appreciate your reply. How come then is the connection between the phone and the head unit via Bluetooth. Also, there is a Bluetooth aerial under the dash
