Out of the box, these earbuds wont pair with my phone - they dont even show up in the bluetooth devices menu. I've reset both of these devices several times trying to get it working, and nothing has changed.

Hi Robin can you confirm what the Contour 2 buds are doing in terms of lights/indications of their status?

When I power them on, the voice confirms that it is searching for a device. The indicator light flashes, alternating red and blue. After a while, the voice indicates It cannot find a device, and it shuts off automatically.

Have you tried resetting network properties within Android? There is a somewhat hidden option to do that in the network advanced configuration. That can sometimes help along with a reboot after doing it.

Unfortunately, resetting network properties did absolutely nothing.

Same issue here, I've tried many things. Seems like a google issue with the latest update and security patch.
