There are a LOT of people that have reported problems after the 9.2 iOS upgrade so you are not alone. Obvious places to start are deleting any reference to the other device and doing the pairing all over again from scratch. You can ensure that the device is lost in iOS by going to SettingsGeneralReset and then choosing reset network settings.
Other maybe less well known ideas include disabling Handoff on the phone. Goto general settings and select Handoff Suggested Apps and then turn Handoff OFF.
Also try setting the phone to a Bluetooth headset. Do this by going to General, Accessibility and then Car Audio Routing. The phone is probably set to Automatic but try changing to Headset.
Let us know how you get on!

Having the opposite problem. We can get the iPhone X to connect to the radio and play music. It shows incoming calls, but we can't hear anyone or they cant hear us talking when we answer.
