JBL E55BT pairs but I am not able to hear from laptop. It works for mobile phones!

The most common problem is that Windows has a default/preferred output device and that often isn't changed to your just paired Bluetooth device automatically. So you have to go into the Sound Output preferences and manually select the Bluetooth audio device from the list of options. Can you confirm if you have done this ?

Thanks for the answer! I had tried what you have suggested. The system seems to latch on to a device once it detects. I tried removing all the bluetooth devices from the system and then turning on the system after the headphone is turned on and that worked once! I have to try and see if the same procedure works subsequently too!
