I'm having the same issues with my JBL T450BT headphones. All of the sudden it won't turn on, even after charging it overnight. I also tried by connecting it to a PC and Mac, but nothing seems to work. Since I bought these while travelling in Jordan, it's impossible to ask for a repair or replacement. Please, advise on how to proceed. Thanks in advance.

So once they are unplugged from charging do they show any LED lights at any point or does it appear totally dead? Also if it is charging are you able to use whilst charging ?

I believe holding down the power button to reset it can be done by pressing it for a very long time, around 10/15 seconds. Does this help ? If there are no lights at any point, even when charging it would seem to suggest its definitely dead.

Hold down the power button for about 15-30 seconds and it should turn on. If it doesn't then you need to bring it to a repair shop

I solved it.
Hi. The LED light was never lightning. I do something but i don't know which way fixed my t450bt. First, there is a switch near of the power button. Press it three or five times. Then hold the power button about 40-50 seconds. When hold the power button connect to the charge. So LED starts to lightning.

I had the same problem. I had the same model, and it was working fine until today.
The thing won't turn on, but if I charge it, the lights come up. But, even after 3-5 hours, the light just won't turn off like it normally would.
Tried the power button thing, doesn't work. Any help?

Mark Turnoy responded : 9:16am, 12th May 2018 (4 years ago)
The LED light on my headset (JBL450T) comes on when I hold the power button down, then blinks. It connected a couple of times, at first, but now won't connect to my computer (a Macbook Air). It'll connect to my iphone 5S, but the connection has broken several times. (I hope to call the Service center here in Seoul next week.)
Any other ideas?
Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much lalao. Holding the power button for 40-50 then plugging it solves the problem! I was starting to freak out I hope more people find this thread :)

JBL user responded : 10:36am, 19th September 2018 (3 years ago)
Ayanda Mlambo, I had the same problem... tried the 5 presses then power button for 50 sec... nothing.. I actually just pulled off the ear padding opened up the 3 screws and saw the problem straight away!

Where the power button is I saw it had shifted to the side of the switch, so when I was pressing the power button it wasn't connecting to anything. I nudged it back in place and voila! It is working again! yay!!

I wouldn't fiddle around too much with the electronics if you're not in the know, but this was a simple and obvious fix and it saved me taking them in for repairs. responded : 8:38pm, 15th October 2018 (3 years ago)
I got mine out of the box. Plugged the charging cable into my laptop. The charging light came on. Went to pair with my laptop..... nothing.
Okay so I realise I may have to have the power on. So I push the power button to ON. NOTHING.
I haven't fully charged it up yet so I'm hoping that's all it is. But very doubtful after this thread !!! Wish I'd never brought it.

Kleesi responded : 4:52am, 23rd October 2018 (3 years ago)
I owe JBL an apology. See answer from 15th October 2018.
I got my headphones out of the box and had trouble powering on. BUT !!!! It turns out I had to fully charge it first. The power button turned on easy. Its been 8 days now and Ive used my headphones for maybe an hour or so a day and not needed to recharge yet. So Im very happy so far !!

Holy shit, kudos to JBL User, I realized myself that my power button wasn't working at all, followed your instructions and now they're working as before.

My issue = power button didn't work, the headphones itself worked for around 7/8 seconds and ONLY if they were off directly off charging.

Went 2 months before this happened.

Anyways, JBL user, you saved me time and money, give yourself a pat on the back.

My headphones were completely dead, there was no light and it wasn't even charging,so I just pressed the plus, minus and play button three times each and then kept the power button pressed until the light turned on, for like 30 seconds. Now my headphones are working properly.

Steve Gray responded : 4:33pm, 12th December 2018 (3 years ago)
I can confirm that I had the same issue: bought the damn things at an airport and so it's practically impossible to get a warranty swap. Thanks to the steps above, I was able to get it working again:

1. Press inside the hole next to the power button with something firm a few times whilst holding power button
2. Keep holding power button for over 30 seconds
3. Whilst holding power button down, reconnect the charger cable.

This seemed to bring it back to life, whereas various other lengths of time and steps didn't. Thanks to lalao above for the discovery.

I have this often after charging and it works most of the time by pressing the play button 3 times and then hold the power button

In my case my JBL T450BT headphone while connect to charger the light turnes on for 5-10sec. and closed again. And I disconnect to charger, try to open it but that dosent work. I tired to hold 40-50 sec for 4-5 times and one time the light turnes on for 5-10 sec again while the charger disconnected. I cant open it permanently. I can only see a short light for some times. Is there any solution for my problem?

I just got a set of these Headphones and after trying ALL of the Suggestions found here I have decided that these Headphones are more trouble than they are worth. If JBL can't 1. Add a troubleshoot section with their painfully inadequit user sheet of paper that they jokingly refer to as instructions and 2. put out a Product without this much problem right from the get go then JBL is not the Company they used to be and I'm returning them for a more reliable product. I'd rather spend my $50.00 for Headphones with a wire than go through this aggravation over a pair of G Damn Headphones.

Lalao, thanks for the help mate! I was facing the same issue on JBL T460BT, and your solution worked!
Thanks a ton!

My T450BT did manage to charge and work for a few days, but affter that, it simply didn't work anymore.

I did the same trick, but nothing worked. But then I realized that if I leave it off for a few days and charge it again, it works like a charm again.
So, it's possible that it is a baterry problem and by leaving it off for a few days, it would simply run the battery dry. If you had the same problem as I had, maybe this will work.

Lamb Designs responded : 8:25pm, 21st May 2019 (3 years ago)
The trick from JBL support is to simultaneously press the + & - buttons (volume controls) 3-5 times to reset headphones and then hold down power until led light comes on. My headphones wouldn't come on but now they work perfectly.

Hello focs,
I had this issue in my T450BT and the problem is.............the cable between both sides! as you use the headphones, the wire is bent many times, in the end it gets damaged and the power form the battery fails to reach the main unit.
It must be said that you have the bluetooth module in the side of power button but the battery is on the other side, there is a 4 wires cable that carries the power and audio signal.
Solution, change the 4 wires cable and you are done.

So, i was convinced my JBL t460bt stopped working, but wasnt sure why. The LED would turn on when charging, but that was the only sign of life. Turns out the switches went bad, but there is a very simple solution which worked for me. You have to open up the headphones where the buttons are by removing the earpad, and removing 3 screws. Then apply some WD-40 on a toothpick or even better a cotton swab on the little buttons. Voilla, the switches are now responsive again and my JBL works as new. So if your JBLs are nor responding no matter what you press and how long, try this! There is a youtube video of a guy doing all this for bt450.

I found that the power button wasn't in the correct position and it was tipped to one side and semi jammed in. The way i fixed my problem was by pulling off the padding and taking off the cover with a screwdriver, than looking to see the power button it was off center which mean when i pressed the button it had no effect. Simply re-aling the button and close back up. It really isn't hard you just have to be careful and half know what you are doing. You may find it hard to put back on the padding but after a few minutes of frustration you should get it back on securely

Hi. My JBL T450BT is charging, because white LED is on. However, when I unplug from charging and switch the power button on, it does not respond. I have tried recommendations here, from long pressing power button, to simultaneous other button presses, and even plug and unplug combination of pressing buttons, yet somehow none of all that works. Not sure about opening the screws to adjust the buttons and alignment.
Any thoughts? Thank you.

None of these suggestions have worked for me. I dont need to try unscrewing anything, because the lights work fine. The flashing blue lights indicate the time to pair. My problem is that they dont stay connected after 2 seconds. Before this, the white light was just to indicate they were on and would change to blue to show the connection within 2 seconds. I just started having this problem about two days ago. The connection icon shows the headphones are fully charged, but they keep shutting down/disconnecting for no apparent reason. I was totally satisfied with this product until today after trying various methods suggested in this forum. Please give me a solid solution.
