I personally like using only one earbud but when my right ear hid runs out of battery I can't switch to my left earbud because it won't connect by it self. It can connect the right ear one at a time but not the left

Are you sure you paired both buds together BEFORE trying to pair to your phone? This is a common cause of this issue, check other posts with solutions below on this page if it persists.
