Apple products such as iPhones, iPods and iPads are limited in terms of their ability to provide fairly standard Bluetooth functionality such as file sharing between devices, especially when the Apple device is connecting to a non-Apple device such as an Android smartphone. For details of the file sharing issue see: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18884705/transfer-data-between-ios-and-android-via-bluetooth
There are apps though that can be installed between two Smartphones that can assist with file transfers!
I've had this unit for at least 10 years and it's been great, now for some reason the volume won't go past a certain level?

Wow Daryl, fantastic to hear you've been using it so long, we rarely hear of users on the forum having had a product such a long time without issue.
So is the volume very quiet or just a little quieter than previously ? What happens if you pair it to another device ? Is it the same ?

I disconnected the speaker from my source and reinstalled it works great now
