I also bought my Tsumi Soundmates from the Best Buy machine nt he airport and they have no multifunction buttom. For the first few months they were pairing but now although they say they are pairing, Tsumi never shows up on my iPhone bluetooth pairing screen and I can not get them to connect. Please, if anyone has figured this out could you enlighten me? I bought them on my way on a trip and dont have a receipt to return them. Thanks!

Take both earbuds out, wait a few minutes. (I set mine down on the table) they should slow down flashing (red and blue) once they are both flashing super slow (about 1 or 2 secs between flashes) place them both back in the case. Take them out and only press one to pair on your Bluetooth setting (select only one Tzumi Soundmate when pairing from your phone) should be all good from there. Hope this helps

Yes, there are models that do not have any physical buttons. I found that the right bud will respond to taps around or above the silver ring. So far I have been able to play/pause only.
As far as I know, this doesnt help with auto-pairing.
good luck.

Mine worked for three days no problems on fourth day they didn't show up on Bluetooth list on any of my devices. Got them from home depot and tried all the suggestions to reset and pair them and they don't have multifunction buttons. Nothing worked I wouldn't get another pair waste of thirty bucks

Eric, yes there are indeed two models of the SoundMates, the newer ones don't have a button. Does the tip from Dan above doesn't help ?

Yes but mine don't flash red they just flash blue and then the left earbud shuts off and then the right shuts off like a minute afterwards. They also don't say "pairing" anymore when I take them out of charging case

I bought mine 2 days ago and found that it doesnt have a multi function button as well. The right ear constantly blinks blue but the left ear has no light at all and have been unsuccessful at pairing even just one pod to my phone. Seems totally useless or defective. Can you give us a better solution to this?

Total junk, Only one plays music. Returned first pair to Home Depot thinking they were defective. Second pair was no better. Bringing back second pair to get a refund.

My sound mate for the right ear is fully charged and wont charge in the case to reset, it is also off apparently and will not pair to my phone. I do not have a multifunction button. How do I get my right earbud to work? Its battery doesnt drain when its out of the charging case because it is off so I cant just let it die and try again. No light flashes on the earbud either. I have been experiencing this problem for a few days now and would greatly appreciate any advice!

Mine worked fine for the first couple of months but then they stopped showing up to connect on any devices. The red charging light on my left earbud also stopped working. Mine are the ones without any buttons. If anybody knows how to solve this problem, please tell me!

Only the right side will play music and the left one id disconnected all the manuals say how to fix it with the multipurpose button but I don't have that does anyone know how I can pair them together without that button
Archie responded : 6:09pm, 12th August 2020 (7 months ago)

Yeah, mine finally work again. I was about ready to chuck 'em against the wall.
I think this is how I got them to work again.
1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone.
2. Set both pods on table for 5 min to make sure they turn off.
3. Put pods back in the case.
4. Turn on Bluetooth and scan to remove any instance of tzumi
5. Remove whichever pod was flashing red/blue.
Mine was left but now it's right.
6. Should connect.
7. Remove other pod. Should connect.
To put away I do the reverse order of above.
Hope this helps
JD responded : 8:22am, 11th September 2020 (6 months ago)

No physical button? To connect you must go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and start it scanning. Quickly take one earpiece from the case, then the other. If your phone is scanning, there will be a very short time when they will show up for pairing. This is the moment when the buds are pairing to each other. You have to be quick. If they do not appear, put them back into the case, start your phone scanning and try again, one at a time.

I think that it is important to point out that when tapping the location is critical. Note that in the instructions it says "Tap the earbuds LED"
The tiny little hole where the light comes out when it is blinking... It's kinda hard to find...
