rumble pairs with the phone, but when you play spotify the music doesn't play. this is intermittent , this morning the speaker was fine now not playing.

Check the status of the connection in the phones bluetooth settings screen. Does the status word (ie paired, connected) alter between working and not working? And what about the JBL device itself, does it show different coloured lights ?
