My Sony wh-ch500 wireless stereo headset has a purple light and won't turn on nor off

I've had this problem for a while now, and no matter what I do, nothing works!
Yes, I tried resetting it.
Yes, I was holding the button down long enough.
Yes, I tried plugging it in.
Yes, I've tried draining the batteries to reset it.
Yes, I've researched the life out of it.

And now I just want some answers. What does the purple light mean and how can I stop it? And I want straight forward answers, not oh, try talking to this guy or maybe you werent pressing the button right I want a how-to on how-to fix it. Please help.
