When I first bought them from Wal-Mart, only the right earbud would play music while the left said it was connected, but with no sound coming out. Now it's the opposite, I hear music coming out from the left side, but not from the right side. I've tried unpairing them from my phone and connecting them back, still the same problem. I tried fully charging them, and they are, but it's still the same problem. If someone can actually help and actually provide a thorough and detailed answer to my problem that would be greatly appreciated.

To clarify, are you sure you are pairing the buds together before you pair them to the phone ?
Arturo Hurtado responded : 2:13am, 17th October 2018 (4 months ago)
I don't think so cause I did find out that if i hold the buttons longer than 6 seconds a double chime would sound, which is why I said only sound came from one side of the earbuds, and I assume that's the paring chime, unless I'm wrong. I messed with that to see if it'll work, but it never did. I just wanna know how, in thorough detail, how to pair the two buds together and then how, again, in thorough detail, to make sound come out of both earbuds.

Same problem, the two buds won't pair! This piece of junk is getting returned!
David responded : 8:00pm, 19th October 2018 (4 months ago)
I think I may have a solution. Try resetting the Master Earbud before pairing.

To Reset the Master Earbud.

1. Hold down button on BOTH earbuds until you hear 2 chimes after the pairing prompt.
2. Then quickly press the button 2 times on the (left or right) master earbud until you hear a chime in that ear ONLY.

Connect Earbuds to Bluetooth
1. Press and hold BOTH earbuds until you hear the pairing Prompt in BOTH ears.
2. Select ONLY ONE Tzumi Soundmates in the Bluetooth options on the device. IF YOU SEE TWO OPTIONS YOU MAY HAVE TO REPEAT THE PROCESS OVER AGAIN.

3. Once device confirms Device Connected You should hear in both ears. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem, the only way I got them to work together was to delete one of the earbuds off my phone and they paired together.

The answer above from Sterling worked perfectly. I had tried everything so as to not only hear out of one ear bud at a time, and nothing worked - until I tried his suggestion.

When I press both buttons after the pairing prompt, it just pours off. I never hear any chimes. What am I Missing?

Anonymous responded : 3:35pm, 26th December 2018 (2 months ago)

Anonymous responded : 8:51pm, 27th December 2018 (2 months ago)
i have tried all of that it still doesnt work.
Romi responded : 1:10am, 28th December 2018 (2 months ago)
I just tried the steps mentioned above and they worked. But there was something missing in those steps. Here's the complete set of steps that I performed...

1. Important - Turn off bluetooth from all devices that your earphones can possibly connect to ... usually your phone or any other playback device that you're trying to pair the earphones with.
2. Now reset the Master Earbud (usually the right one, I think ... it was the right one for me anyway) the following way.
a. Turn both of them OFF.
b. Turn both of them ON simultaneously.
c. I think this is the missing piece in the steps above - Hold down the buttons on BOTH the earbuds for 2 seconds or so but basically, only till the time that they DO NOT power off. REMEMBER, they should NOT power off. Actually, I'm not completely sure if this step really does anything.
d. Now, quickly press the button 2 times on the master earbud (the right one for me) until you hear a chime in that ear ONLY.
e. That's it. Turn on your phone's bluetooth and connect to the earbuds ... it should connect to both the earbuds.

Thanks Romi! I finally hear music in both sides, now how do you save the setting?
Anonymous responded : 2:00pm, 31st December 2018 (2 months ago)
Romis solution was the only one that worked for me. Not bad fir $20, just a pain to connect

To re-pair your Tzumi Sound Mates headphones follow these steps.
1. Make sure both earbuds are off
2. Turn off Bluetooth on any device they connect to.
3.hold the multifunction button on both earbuds. Do not stop holding once they turn on. CONTINUE TO HOLD until you hear a chime.
4. Press twice quickly on the earbud you want to use for pause and phone calls.
5. Turn Bluetooth back on for the device they are connected to. You may have to forget the device and re pair them to the device they are used on.

After hours of messing with them I finally figured out how to do it. May this knowledge be of benefit to you.

I had the same issue I was threatening to take my earbuds back I looked everywhere. finally I found this site Bluetooth doctor and thank God there was someone in here I just tell you ROMI she helped me so much so I thank you for that and I'm going to give everyone looking for this solution heads up. I'm on a Samsung j7 Sky Pro and I noticed that the issue pairing earbuds to this phone is quite Universal in other words when you're looking for a fix for this issue you can pretty much bet that any Bluetooth earbuds connecting as true Wireless they all the same, in other words stop over-exerting yourself if you were anything like me searching around like a chicken with his head cut off I advise you to stop and take the advice from this page because it's all about the Bluetooth version and as for the earbuds they all connect the same way pretty much and the only thing really what you need to do is continue to hold the power button down without letting up you do this right through the pairing procedure keep holding down even while it's in its pairing stage with both of your thumbs on those power buttons on both earbuds and all of a sudden you'll hear a voice or a chime, it was a voice in my instance and they both connect anyway that's my suggestion

My Tzumi SoundMates arent working. I literally try every single thing in this page and nothing works!
When I'm turning them one and pairing them everything is ok until I connect them via Bluetooth to my iPhone, in the Bluetooth list it appears 2 Tzumi SoundMates and it only let me pick one and the random I choose is in the only one I can hear it.
I dont know if Im being clear but the problem is that I can only connect 1 at a time on my Bluetooth.
I hope someone can help me because I spend $55 on this thing that doesnt work.

The steps from David's post worked perfectly. I finally got them to pair together. Make sure to completely turn off your bluetooth and unpaired from your phone before trying. Hope this helps!

Davids solution on getting both Tzumi earbuds to work at the same time on my IPhone X worked after trying other solutions. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone before resetting the Master earbud (the right ear) that is if you have changed your primary while trying to solve the problem. If you have just change it back. Thanks David

I've tried each of the solutions on this board, but nothing works. The left bud doesn't make any tone at all (no power on, no tone, nada). The only reason that I got these in the first place was because all of the apple buds were sold out. I should have just waited and not wasted $45 on this cheap-ass knockoff. Oh well, you get what you pay for.

The answer from Sterling up there worked perfectly!!! I had tried everything and was ready to return them! Thanks!
