We've had lots of reports of problems with people struggling to connect their two Tzumi SoundMates together. There are multiple posts on our forum about this with confirmed solutions. The two posts we would recommend you start with are this one and this one.
If you are unsure if your SoundMates are charging or what the light colors mean there is clarification of that here.

What about the buds themselves? Is there no light on them? There should be red lights when charging.
