The obvious thing would be the battery but you are sure it isn't this ? Please confirm what happens when charging... does this process go as expected ?

Yeah it charges perfectly fine and does stay on for short intervals, but when I make a small little movement of my head it turns itself off. This is without the whole power off business. And this also just started randomly one night.

Is this to do with movement and a bad cable perhaps? Don't put them on your head, keep them on a stationary service, get them playing and then move them a little. Does this alter their activity ?

Dustin, do you still have a problem? One thing to check, have you tried resetting by pressing and holding the power button for 8 seconds when they are on charge ?

I'm having the same problem and tried all these. Light is blue when I plug it in and it has been charging all day, yet somehow they keep turning off and wont even turn on anymore. Theyre relatively new and were working perfectly until literally tonight.

Exact same issue. Charges fine, the turns on. When the battery dies, you get three audio queues that it will be shutting down. In this case, there is no queue, it just stops working after 30-60 seconds. When it stops working, it will turn back on and say "Power On, your headphones are connected", then 30-60 seconds later, it stops again.

DBlott2, depends totally where you purchased, if in warranty still, if you have proof of purchase etc.

Does anyone have an actual solution to this problem? Anyone at all?

Luis (Admin) responded : 4:45pm, 5th November 2019 (4 years ago)
Here is a possible solution, as its the official reset procedure for this device...

1. Long press the power / multi function button of the headphones for 3 when you are charging the headphones - wait at least 10 seconds having plugged in to charge before doing this
1b: Does the red and blue light flash three times? If so now charge the headphones for 4 hours.
2: When you know you have a charged headset turn on the mobile phone bluetooth and delete all the devices you have connected (including the headphones)
3: Attempt to pair the headphones again by having them turned off then holding down the power / multi function button for around 6 seconds. At this point a flashing blue light should appear and you should be able to find the headphones on your device.

Tried Luis recommendation. Same problem. I connected them to my tablet (Fireos) phone (Android) Laptops (Linux and Windows 10) and to a frieds macmini and happnes the same on all of them. The battery charges till 70%and shows full. I think this is a major flaw of this model, maybe a firmware updat e(if there is a way to do this) could be a solution. Otherwise, they are trash. I would never recommend this brand to anyone.

This may not be the case for everyone but it worked for me.
I suffered from precisely the same symptoms and it turned out to be the Tile key finder app on my phone. Once I took away the permission for the app to use NFC, everything worked like a dream. It is not a problem because as soon as I want
to use the Tile app, it reminds me to allow it to use NFC again.

Others may find that there are other apps that have the ability to turn on / off blue tooth.
On Android, under Bluetooth additional settings check "Apps turning on Bluetooth" and then look at the most recent app that turned Bluetooth on. That maybe your culprit.

My Otium IPX7 was 16 mo old and worked flawlessly for daily biking. A week ago the device would shut down moments after playing from my iPhone. Tried recharging, resetting headset, clearing all Bluetooth connections from the iPhone, restarting iPhone, and turning off Bluetooth for Tile app. None have been successful. I find when connected, if I jiggle only the right cable near the right earpiece the device shuts down. My conclusion is a failure in the cable not visible along its length or where it meets the right earpiece. For only $19 on Amazon I may invest in a similar replacement.
