If you leave it it will likely exhaust its battery. If that has now occurred, were you able to restart normally ?

When the Red light stay on even you push off charger. Push play and power button in same time about 30. Sec. If still not work. Do not worry . Leave for a while and try again. It. Will work. Hope this help.

If the red light stays on when you unplug it hold the play button and the power button both in at the same time for 30 seconds that's what fixed mine

Brad, thank you very much. It solved my "red light on" problem. It disappeared within a few seconds and Clip 3 works again.

I had the same problem, the red light would not turn off and the unit would not function. I left the unit to completely de charge (a few days) until the red light turned off. Then I was able to turn it back on again and use it and charge it normally again.
