Right Tzumi SoundMate ear bud is quiet

The left ear bud works perfectly fine and both are fully charged but the volume for the right earbud is significantly lower than that of the left. Any advice would be helpful. This problem began this morning when I powered them on to listen to music.

We've had various other reports of this (have a look at links below or use the site search) but I don't believe a fix so far. Certainly do try and troubleshoot by checking if this is app specific and if it isnt, then try pairing them to another phone/computer, is it the same still ? Finally, its not battery level related is it ? Please do share anything you discover.
