QCY T2c : Right earbud doesn't work outside the box

This question relates to connecting a QCY T2c BUY NOW to an Android smartphone BUY NOW

The right earbud blinks red and white four times every 10 seconds when its in the box, and when I get it out it doesn't respond at all, no matter how long I press the bottom...

No, it doesn't.., it doesn't respond at all

We've not heard of this before.... Did it do this since purchase or just suddenly out of the blue ?
