Skullcandy Hesh 2 : Headphones connect but refuse to make sound

The headphones still play the connected / discontinued sounds and the sound it makes when the volume is too high, but it refuses to play any other sound. I even tried with another pair of the exact same model of headphones only to have the same problem. I suspect it might be something to do with my phone since this issue is prominent in the exact two devices but I'm not sure. I've also re-paired and reset my bluetooth but still no fix.

To clarify, have you tested with the headphones on another device apart from the S22 ? Do they work ok? Please let us know.
