I just purchased a Soundlogic XT and I cannot get it to connect to my WiFi. This is a brand new device. It connects to my Bluetooth on my iPhone and I can pair it to my Amazon Dot device, but the speaker will not connect to my wireless WiFi network. Can anyone help me with getting this resolved.

To clarify, you have the XT Wifi Buddy Speaker (BWS-5/0454) model ?

Fawn responded : 3:55am, 23rd December 2018 (6 years ago)
Its a SoundLogic XT BWS-6/0454 WiFi Bluetooth Buddy Speaker. I downloaded the Soundlogic WiFi Controller app from the Apple App Store for my iPhone 6 Plus and I have the latest iOS on my phone. I can pair it to my iPhone and my Alexa using the Bluetooth. However the device keeps saying it cannot connect to my WiFi.

So this message about the connection error is within the Soundlogic Wifi App,correct ? Your selected wifi network is definitely 2.4ghz ? There is a video running over the basic procedure for various Soundlogic XT models here if useful?

I've followed the instructions in the video and yours that you posted. Problem is that the app in downloaded from the Apple App Store looks nothing like the one on YouTube. It never gives me the options displayed and the Buddy_XXXX never displays as an option in my available WiFi selections. I think I just need to return this junk to the store and get my money back.

Andy (Admin) responded : 3:42pm, 24th December 2018 (6 years ago)
Specifically which options does it not show ? Are you sure your wifi connection is 2.4ghz ? It may not have any wifi entry to show if it can't detect one compatible.

Hello Fawn,
I have the same exact problem...did you get a resolution?

Fawn responded : 3:15am, 26th December 2018 (6 years ago)
Peggy Butler, not really. All Andy (Admin) asked was what is showing up on the Soundlogic App I downloaded and if Im sure my WiFi is 2.4 GHz.

I have a dual WiFi, but my 2.4 GHz never shows up when I open the app. Ive been unsuccessful for the last 5 days since I purchased this piece of crap. It connects to my Bluetooth devices, but not to my WiFi network. The box and the users guide that came with the speaker, says it is WiFi, which is a LIE!!!

Pedro (Admin) responded : 2:08pm, 26th December 2018 (6 years ago)
Normally this kind of app is reading what the phone itself can see.... so if no 2.4ghz wifi appears it would usually suggest that the phone itself can't see that wifi. Do your two wifi channels have different names to allow you to differentiate between the two radio frequencies? If so can you see both of these on your iPhone if you go into wifi settings ?

Fawn responded : 5:45pm, 26th December 2018 (6 years ago)
Yes I have two the 2.4 GHz is named MzDimples1 and the 5.0 GHz is named MzDimples(5.0). Two different SSID passwords.

John (Admin) responded : 7:31pm, 26th December 2018 (6 years ago)
Ok so if you are sure your phone is on the first of those two wifi connections I would try deleting and reinstalling the app to clear out any preferences it has. Maybe it will act as if setting up the first time if you do this.

I had the same problem and I called the soundlogic hotline the number is 866 815 4714. They gave me a their Wi-Fi to hook up to and then told me how to hook up to mine but next time I went to use it it did the same thing so my suggestion is to call this number. Which I have to do it again

The SoundLogic XT speaker will not connect to my WiFI with the app, even with the instructions and the speaker telling me connection unsuccessful. None of this is helpful and I even returned mine since nothing was helping me get what I wanted, get what was told to be given with this speaker.

I resolved ths by pressing the WPS buttons on the speaker and my router
