I also have this problem with my Samsung S9. There seems to be a permanent spot on the sound mates. where the volume is always at. I can turn the volume of my phone up or down but it never changes what comes out of the sound mates. I would assume that there is a setting that can adjust this or something but I'm not sure what. I might just return the product.

I'm having the same issue with my s9. The volume stays the same level until I turn it all the way down. Then it it shuts the sound off.

I'm having this issue too with my S9. I'm getting really sick of it

I have the S9 as well and was having the same issue. What I found out is that if you connect them individually a setting appears and asks for you to turn off Dual Audio once I did that I was able to control the volume.

Go to Connections Bluetooth and select Advance select Dual Audio and it should work.

THANK YOUUUUU!!! it worked!!!

Awesome! Thanks it worked! I threw out my receipt, and was worried. I feel like my big beats headphones are so big and look old fashioned at the gym. I didn't want to invest in a pricey pair of buds. Thanks for the info on dual setting! True lifesaver.

Thank you so much! I was very upset that mine weren't working and this worked! You're an angel!

Angie responded : 9:43pm, 28th May 2019 (12 months ago)
Thank you RNICHOLS worked for me!! I would have never figured this out!

Carlos responded : 3:07pm, 29th May 2019 (12 months ago)
Ive the same problem with my A8+. The problem appeared when the OS was updated to Android 9. I tried to connect the buds individually as RNICHOLS says, but I must have been done something wrong because the buds always get paired each other. Could you explain me how to do to connect each one individually.

Wayne responded : 5:24pm, 7th June 2019 (12 months ago)
Carlos I did it on my S8 and it worked you can pair both of them together than go to settings on on your phone. then go to bluetooth, in the top right corner there are 3 dots go there, go to advanced that is where you will find the dual audio button, make sure it is turned on.

Robin responded : 5:36pm, 8th June 2019 (12 months ago)
I went to advance and it worked thanks Carlos for suggestion that.

CARLOS ALBERTO RODRIGUEZ responded : 3:59pm, 9th June 2019 (12 months ago)
Thanks Wayne. I treated to do so but the dual audio buttom control remained not allowed saying that the buts are a no-compatible Bluetooth device. This situation appeared after the OS of my A8+ was updated to Android 9. Before this situation the buds worked OK. Even I followed RNichols' instructions but the remark saying that the device is no-compatible appeared again.

Found the solution to your problem Carlos Alberto Rodriguez, this was done using a samsung A20 android 9, the dual audio option appears unavailable with the sound mates connected, so I unpaired them and connected a different Bluetooth headset, once I did that I was able to change the setting, turned it off, then paired the sound mates and I was finally able to control the volume from the phone.

S9plus, bluetooth advanced, dual audio on worked. Thank you to the one who suggested.

Cassie M. responded : 6:22am, 26th July 2019 (10 months ago)
Jonathan Forschler, the S10 works the same way. Just go to advanced audio settings and turn off the dual volume.

You guys are awesome!!! Wayne - thank you so much. Was having the same issue w/ my S8 and sure enough, it worked. Was a bit frustrating because there are no instructions in the manual and no youtube videos that covered this issue. This made my day! :-D

Jordany responded : 5:08am, 2nd September 2019 (9 months ago)
None of this worked for my Life One X2. I have the three dots but dual audio is never a given option even with other Bluetooth devices. I'm still stuck at 100 percent. Any other ideas please?

What worked for me on my Samsung Galaxy A20 was go to sounds and vibrations, then advanced sound settings, then separate app sound. Make sure your your device is paired and connected. In my case it was a pair of 20 dollar wal mart A7 ear buds bluetooth. Pick the app (like IHEART) then Audio Device and it should have your device listed. Now the volume will control the volume on the app with the volume on your phone. Beautiful Sounds!

Just reach out to Tzumi on their website and they'll send you a new set that works. Better to have your receipt still they will ask for a copy via email.
