Is it possible to use these headphones NOT through Bluetooth and only using a cabled connection? So far, we have not been able to successfully do this.

They came with an audio cable to do this didn't they ? We aren't aware of anything special you need to do to enable calbed sound.... have you tried multiple audio sources to ensure it isn't specific to your computer ?
