Why won't these earbuds charge properly?

I got these wireless earbuds for Christmas, and so far they work great-sort of. The sound quality is really good, and I love being able to listen to music without worrying about wires getting in the way all the time-however, the charger isn't really working properly and I'm not sure why.

The manual says that when they're done charging, the blue light on the earbuds will turn off and then you can just take them out of the case and go back to using them. But whenever this happens, I can only use them for about an hour, maybe hour and fifteen minutes tops before they need charged again. What's going on? Am I doing it wrong? Is the charger of the earbuds themselves malfunctioning in some way? Do I just have a lemon? I really wanna know.

I'm also having a bit of an issue with the sound. The sound quality is great, but one of the two earbuds will randomly cut in and out for a few seconds every couple of minutes. The period of time in which one of the two earbuds isn't working isn't long enough to make them unusable, but it's long enough and happens frequently enough to be annoying. If anyone knows how to fix that issue as well, I'd really appreciate it.
