I got this as a gift last crimbo, 2018, and worked perfectly until this week, 11/05/19. I bought some new CD's with my birthday money and it won't even acknowledge the disc is in the tray!! I tried some other Cd's and no problem but my new ones won't play in this unit. I' tried the new CD's in other players and work perfectly, yet this speaker player doesn't want to know!! Far too late to take it back now lumbered with a unit that isn't fully functioning which is a real shame as the sound and power bass is awesome. (Just out of interest the CD's it won't play are Queen Greatest Hits Vol 1 to 3, and Powerwolf latest box set.)

Had the same issue with the one I got for my son. It seems the laser wasnt able to start reading some discs. I found that if I tilt the main stereo component backwards about 45 degree, open, insert CD, then press play, the laser would engage and the CD would start to play. Id then slowly move the angled component back down to the table and it would play fine. Super weird but It works for now.
