I recently set up my headset and paired it with my iPhone 6. It worked. I then went for a run, came back, switched off the headset and set it to charge. I've come back to use it again and it won't even switch on let alone connect.

Hi Jason. If you really can't power on it does sound like a fault with the device or charger. If it was new its quite possible it didnt come with a full charge and needed quicker than normal charging. Are you able to reset it some how or use a different cable / method for charging to be 100% sure there isn't some external issue with charging ?
