Apple products such as iPhones, iPods and iPads are limited in terms of their ability to provide fairly standard Bluetooth functionality such as file sharing between devices, especially when the Apple device is connecting to a non-Apple device such as an Android smartphone. There are apps though that can be installed between two Smartphones that can assist with file transfers!
I had both of the earbuds connected but they were kinda dead so I turned them off and put the in the case to charge. Now the left earbud wont stop flashing red and wont connect and play sound.

Are you sure it is charging properly? Does it indicate that it is when placed in the charger ?
